URGENT*****
Dear Moderator,
I am a LUTON VTS trainee. I am in ST1 and started my GP placement on 3 rd feb. I have applied for performers list in early jan.
I have recieved a letter from the authority that they have made some new changes in their policy due to recent incident in the news. They have asked me to resit IELTS test as my IELTS is more than 6 month old. They can not process my application for performers list untill I do this.
I am working in UK for more than 2 years which involves training post and FY2 completion. As all GP trainees in have also cleared the GP recruitments exams which have any way tested my communication skills in role play and group discussion. I have UK refrees who can provide reference regarding my language skills.
If I take IELTS test now it wont be valid for the next time when I apply for performers list in ST3. In that case I will have to resit it at that time which is not acceptable. this is irrational as EOE SHA is forming there own policy which is deviating from standard.
Even GMC guidance on language says alternative evidence can be provided from refrees.
Can you kindly guide me what to do or if other members are also facing the same problem.
